Potassium
Potassium is an important element in the process of metabolism. Potassium is found in the blood corpuscles and soft tissues in the form of chloride and phosphate. Potassium is necessary for normal growth, to stimulate nerve impulses, for muscle contraction and to preserve proper alkalinity of body fluids.
It helps keep skin healthy and stimulates the kidneys to eliminate poisonous body wastes. Potassium works with sodium to help normalize the heartbeat and nourish the muscular system.
Food sources include all vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables, oranges, whole grains, raw sunflower seeds and potatoes (with the skin)
